CFD Modeling Air Conditioning of a CAR
Objective: Study the correlation between airflow rate, inlet temperature, number of vents, and position of the vent on thermal comfort
Details: Modelled a generic car cabin and seats following the blueprint. Using CFD simulation tested the correlation of thermal performance with ambient temperature, airflow rate, inlet temperature, number of vents, and position of vent. Finally, a prediction of flow rate and number and position of the vent was made for both heating and cooling optimization.
Software used: SolidWorks, StarCCM+

Feasibility Study of Wind Turbine For Low Wind Condition of Bangladesh
Objective: Feasibility study of a smaller vertical wind turbine at the remote location of BD with seasonal wind pattern
Details:
•Collected and analyzed wind energy data from the various remote location in Bangladesh
•Studied feasibility of wind turbine for small scale use
•Identified Darrieus wind turbine as a compact and cheaper solution
•Performed CFD simulation for different seasonal airflow and a few aerofoil shapes
Software used: CATIA V5, Comsol Multiphysics

Semi-Truck Drag Reduction
Objective: Study a base semi-truck drug at highway speed and try to quantify the impact of various drag reduction modification
Details:
•Design a semi-truck with and without modification for side skirt, boat tailing, and gap closing
•Run Simulation with modification and compared the impact of each modification individually and together
•Simulation was run with different reduction tools, velocity, and angle of flow
